About Krina Desai
Krina aims to aid in the improvement of foot function and patient mobility with the overall goal of enhancing their quality of life. As a member of the McCowan Foot Clinic’s team, she addresses a wide range of conditions including arch pain, diabetic foot care, sport injuries, warts, ingrown toenails, fungal nails and callus care. She also analyzes the biomechanics of feet and lower limbs as well as gait pattern to see how the mechanics of the feet impact the whole body. Krina has been trained extensively in the prevention and management of conditions affecting the foot and lower limb. She graduated from the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute for the Applied Health Sciences after completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University. She has gained valuable experience working with the Chiropodists and wound care teams at the Women’s College Hospital, Community Health Centres and private foot clinics.
